After Advanced Facials

What to Expect After An Advanced Facial

After your treatment, it’s normal to experience the following:

  • A radiant, dewy complexion!

  • Slight redness or sensitivity (should fade within a few hours).

  • Increased hydration and softness.

  • Skin feeling more receptive to skincare products

  • Temporary purging (minor breakouts as your skin detoxifies).

These effects are completely normal and should subside within 24–48 hours.

Immediate Post-Treatment Care (First 24–48 Hours)

Avoid Touching Your Face

Your skin is more vulnerable to bacteria, so keep your hands off to prevent breakouts and irritation.

Use a Gentle Cleanser

Your skin has already been deeply exfoliated, so opt for a mild, non-stripping cleanser to maintain balance.
Recommended: Biophora Gentle Cleanser – Cleanses while maintaining skin moisture.

Hydrate Your Skin

Moisturizing is key to locking in hydration and calming any post-facial sensitivity.
Recommended: Biophora DermaRich Moisturizer – Provides deep moisture and soothes sensitivity.

Be Gentle with Your Skin

Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or picking at your skin—let it heal naturally.

Apply Sunscreen Daily (SPF 30+)

Your skin is extra sensitive to UV rays, making sunscreen essential to prevent damage and pigmentation.
Recommended: Biophora Daily Protection SPF 30 – Lightweight and non-greasy.

Avoid Makeup

Let your skin breathe for at least 24 hours to prevent clogged pores.

Avoid Excessive Heat, Sweating, & Chlorine

Hot showers, saunas, intense workouts, and pools can cause redness and irritation.

Hold Off on Exfoliation

Your facial already exfoliated your skin, so avoid scrubs, retinoids, and acids (AHAs/BHAs) for at least 5–7 days to prevent over-exfoliation.

Keep Your Skincare Routine Simple

Stick to a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, and moisturizer—skip any harsh actives for a few days.

Use a Clean Pillowcase

Bacteria buildup on pillowcases can cause breakouts. Change them frequently.
